Merry Christmas!

Holy Cow - Santa spoiled the Louer children!!! There must have been a whole lot of niceness going on around here!!
Don't you just love the pure excitement on their faces, at 5:45 am!!
Liz got two guitars and a cool microphone. She is a self proclaimed rock star!
OMG - It is just what Patrick wanted!
And just what Liz wanted!! Now she can drive her Barbie's around in style.
It was a Star Wars Christmas! This is a remote control flying Millennium Falcon.
Awesome - a new Giants shirt! Hope they have a great season - Pat has some great victory moves when they do well.
Patrick got a few new Lego sets. He has a lot of building ahead of him.
Liz isn't quite sure about the girl Legos her brother got for her. He will have to show her how to build some cool stuff!
THE AFTERMATH!!
Patrick got a new golf bag and a driver. The Spring can't get here fast enough. Thanks Santa!
RD DLizzie!
Grandpa came over later in the morning to exchange presents and see all the loot Santa left.
Trying out Mario Cart while waiting for Mommy and Daddy to get ready to go.
Our beautiful princess :)
The very best Christmas presents I ever got!
Ready to head to Uncle Bill's house.
Patrick sporting Dad's grilling hat.

Finally! Present time (the third time!!)
Cute cousins :)

The best present of the night was definitely farting goop! Thanks Kelley and Sam!! It is pretty fun and entertaining.
Aunt Mary made Pat and Liz new mittens, always a plus around our house.
It has become a tradition to watch Christmas Vacation after dinner. The kids love it, even though it is probably inappropriate!
It is a very Merry Christmas.

Christmas Eve

Pop Pop, Grandma, Grandpa and Linda came over to celebrate Christmas Eve. We had a great lasagna dinner and opened presents.
Patrick was disappointed that the biggest present wasn't for him, but he still helped open it!
Liz is so happy with her very special present from Pop Pop.

Elizabeth loves the gorgeous dollhouse that Pop Pop made for her! It is unreal!!

Before bed Liz had to go outside to sprinkle the reindeer food she brought home from school. Lucky reindeer!!
Cookies and milk have been put out for Santa. We read "T'was the Night Before Christmas". New Christmas jammies are on - now it is off to bed so Santa can arrive and make his magic!!

Gingerbread Houses

Daddy was out tonight so the kids and I made gingerbread houses (cheating and using graham crackers). It was fun, and yummy!
To my surprise, Liz was the better decorator. I thought she would be dancing around the kitchen after 5 minutes and Pat would be carefully placing each candy. It was quite the opposite. Liz and I had a blast!

The best roof tiles were the Chewy Sweettarts!
Liz's finished house. Don't you love Santa on the roof!
Goofy kid!
Playing with my hat!
This is the Rudolf hat that Liz made for the sing along at school today. She was so proud to show it off.

Pajama Day and Sing Along

Elizabeth was SOOO excited for the pajama party in her class today!

I went to school today to see the sing along. Patrick was not happy to see me, so I told him I was there to see Liz, not him. She was on the other side of the auditorium from me so I couldn't get any pictures of her. I knew Pat would kill me if I took pictures of him, so I got Sarah Jane leading the school in Rudolf, and Santa too.

Breakfast With Santa

We picked the kids up from a sleepover at Aunt Jaime's and headed to the zoo for our annual Breakfast with Santa. I thought that maybe Patrick would be over it - too old, too cool - but he wasn't. He seemed to have a good time.
Patrick was up first to talk with Santa after breakfast. Santa was very interested in one of the Angry Birds that Patrick bought at Toys-r-us with his birthday money.

Looks like he is a good boy, huh.
Next it was Elizabeth's turn to visit with Santa. She wasn't nervous at all, but also wasn't sitting on his lap. She did get nervous when he was asking her about her behavior and which parent he should ask to verify! She didn't want him to ask either of us because she knows that she has had too many naughty moments.
It was interesting to watch her squirm. Usually she doesn't care. Even more surprising, she chose me to tell Santa if she has been behaving, not Daddy the mush.
I sure hope she convinced Santa!
Both kids made cookies with Mrs. Claus and Liz made an ornament. We had to hustle home because Matthew is coming over to babysit so Mom and Dad can go to a Christmas party. What a busy season!
