First Full (half) Day of Kindergarten

I know I have a smile but inside I am sobbing crying. My baby is off, by herself, to kindergarten. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday that I was feeding her cereal in her high chair early in the morning, not doing her hair for school.

We are so proud of our Lizzie Lou.
Ready to head out to the bus.
Damyn and Liz are bus buddies.

Off they go.

She's home!! She loved her first day of kindergarten and has loved every day since. It is amazing how much she is learning everyday.

First Day of School

It's here - we have TWO kids in grade school. I don't know how it happened but it did. Today Patrick goes for a full day of school. He is off to Ms. Buso's first grade class. Liz will have an hour long orientation that she goes to with me.
Ready for me to drop him off at Jackie's.
Cool new Darth Vader backpack!
Liz is off for her first day at Jackie's. I will pick her up early to get ready to go to orientation.
Off to our first day of kindergarten.
She definitely ready for grade school - she's got the stance down.
The first thing we had to do at KCH was have a meeting with Mr. Bassilion. Liz sat with all the other kids, no problem.
All the kindergarten classes are in the rainbow hall. I love it. It is so friendly and inviting.
Exploring around the classroom - Liz found the phone. Her favorite.
Every class starts with a message and morning meeting.
It is going to be a great year with Mrs. Wiley. The kindergarteners visited for a bit and then went on a bus ride while the parents met with Mrs. Wiley. After that it was time to go home and meet Patrick off the bus.
He made it. It was a great day in first grade too!

Fall Football

This Fall Patrick played football. Flag football. Brian helped to coach the team and both he and Patrick had a great time. It was great bonding for the two of them. Patrick really enjoyed playing and now is very into watching football with Dad.
The Pop Warner kids were introduced at one of the high school games.

One of the early season games at Eastwood.

Look at that blocking!

Post game team huddle!
Big football guy being tortured by his little sister.
The last game of the season was a wet, muddy, cold game. It was in Auburn. Pat took care of the coin toss.

Patrick scored one touchdown this season - and this is it!
And this is his victory run.
They are rough and tough football players but they are still damn cute!
Look at that game face!!
Mud ball!

Kirkpark was supposed to also play a game with Auburn, another team, and the Auburn team didn't show. West Genny played just a quarter with them because it was their last game of the season. Kirkpark was short a player, so Patrick played for the Kirkpark team. He did a great job listening to a new coach.
