Trick or Treating
Just like every year before, this year we went to Aunt Di and Uncle Dan's to trick or treat. Here are the highlights.

It was cold!!
Lots of good loot (except for Almond Joy - not one for mom to steal!) weighing Liz down.

Handing out candy is just as fun as getting it!
:) Cousinly love.
Halloween Day
I took the afternoon off so that I could go to Elizabeth's class to help kids with their costumes before the school parade and set up for the Halloween party. It was such a great experience. Her classmates are very well behaved and Mrs. Wiley runs a tight, but loving, ship. She is a great teacher and I am just in love with her.
Liz the butterfly :)
A class picture for the yearbook. Mrs. Wiley was a Fairy Catcher. She had already caught lots of fairies, but was on the look out for Tinkerbell.

Our proud marcher. The parade was great. It was surprisingly long. I am surprised that Liz made it the whole route. If we were with her she would have been on Brian's shoulders.
Ms. Buso was a scientist!
Here comes Darth Vader - watch out!
After the parade Liz's class continued their party with treats, cider, and a whole kindergarten Halloween movie!

Pumpkin Picking
It's time to go to Tim's!!! We were there early too - beat the crowds is our motto, and in today's case, the rain too.
We did it all, played in the hay maze, went pumpkin hunting, played in the corn, saw the animals, stared at the old lady, and ate donuts. Great morning!!
OMG - he is old enough and big enough to want to do the wheel barrel and able to do it by himself.
And, he was pushing it with stuff in it too!
In search of the perfect pumpkin. It was really hard this year (bad crop I guess).
I think Liz thinks the pumpkin will come to her.
Great picture, huh.

All the barn kittens around were a big hit. No, none of them are coming home.

Corn to play in! Again. It's the best!

The Hollow - Fall Fun
Today was a gorgeous Columbus Day so the kids and I made our way to the Hollow. They have been begging me to go but we have been busy or it has been raining. Today was perfect.
We got there early. I knew it would be crowded since there was no school and the bees would come out as the day went on. Pat and Liz ran off to see the animals. Pat was totally impressed that there was a bull this year.
She's always got the pose lately.
Getting ready to fly off the hay.

Playing in the corn is a huge hit.

Feeding the animals, or getting food and dumping on the ground in front of the animal, is a hit too. The kids just love the Hollow. We came back a few nights later with Dad and the kids played until they closed. We found out that the family that owns the Hollow has a daughter in Elizabeth's class. She ran with all the owners kids, even helping with the end of the days chores, and loved it.
