Attempting Tubing

Tonight we were off to Four Seasons to participate in a fundraiser for ACR and go tubing. The fundraiser was a cardboard sled race. Uncle Bill and Uncle Wil were entering a dog sled and we were going to be part of their cheering team.
Before the races there was lots of time to practice cheering and making noise. The loudest team got a prize so good thing we brought the kids!

In addition to noise makers there were pots and pans to bang......and screaming too!
The idea was that we were going to enjoy the food and have an drink and go tubing. We went down when we first got there. Brian sent Pat in his own tub and I took Liz in tow with me. It never occurred to me to go slow by putting my foot down. We sped down the hill! I loved it, and Liz was crying and traumatized by the bottom. Pat said he liked it, but didn't want to go down again. It killed Brian and I because we love stuff like this. No matter how we pleaded, they weren't into any more tubing. After some pizza and a couple of snow angels it was time to go. Oh well, maybe next year!

A Fun Day Home

There was no school today, in observance of MLK, Jr. Day. Today it was warm enough to go out and enjoy the snow - the weekend was frigid! We blew up our new tubes and headed out.
We made a great track down Tom's hill and each kid (and mom) had a bunch a great runs! Liz made a lot of snow angels and tried to get a snow ball fight going. The snow was too fluffy for snowballs though.
Patrick started out making snowballs but ended up making some snow furniture for himself.
Liz did great outside. She can be the wimp in the bunch. Today she was in it for the long haul - despite snow in the boot and face she pressed on.
Patrick just loved his lounge chair. He kept asking me to get him snacks.
After hot cocoa and lunch the kids were playing balloon toss. I know that they have been playing volleyball in gym, so................
I set them up so they could play a little game in the living room. Patrick loved it the most and was really disappointed when Liz gave up.

Disney On Ice

For Christmas Brian and I gave Elizabeth two tickets to see Disney on Ice. We gave Sarah Jane a ticket too. Ciochi and I had a lot of fun taking the girls out for a girls night.
They loved every minute of the show. We "ate" slushies and popcorn, got cool lantern toys and danced along with the ice dancers. Elizabeth was doing her interpretive dance all over - Sarah and Ciochi thought it was great!
