Breakfast With Santa

Today was our annual trip to the zoo for Breakfast with Santa. The kids were excited to see the "real" Santa, not a helper Santa like at the mall, and to have cookies with Mrs. Claus. Patrick had an extra treat because we saw one of his teachers, Mrs. Ianno and her family there. He was particularly excited to get to meet her kids.
Posing in Santa's chair before the big guy arrived.

There was a craft table for the kids to make ornaments. There was also face painting but my two never want to have their faces painted. Elizabeth worked hard on a scratch board penguin and Patrick put together an owl ornament for the tree. Now we just have to get our tree up:)
Showing off the ornaments they made for the tree this year.
After breakfast and a craft it was time to talk with Santa. Patrick has no fears anymore, all though he did run right up to Santa. There was no screaming like in the past though.
Elizabeth willingly walked over to Santa, no coaxing needed, but there was NO WAY that she was sitting on his lap. I couldn't hear her too well, I think she told him what she wanted for Christmas and that she is a good girl (which is very debatable).
For the rest of the visit with Santa Liz just danced around the side of his chair, until Lollipop time. Then she turned back in.
Patrick sat and talked with Santa for a while. He filled him in about his behavior and wanting Star Wars and Transformer stuff for Christmas.
Both kids made some great looking cookies with Mrs. Claus. Then we headed out to check out the inside zoo animals, walking alongside the Ianno's. As usual, it was a great day.
