Liberty Bell and Such

After the aquarium we wanted to go into Philly, show the kids the tall buildings and just explore. We headed for the Liberty Bell. It was HOT so the kids weren't too into walking around. But, the bell was air conditioned, so it was a nice little spot to visit.
Patrick was interested to see all the exhibits leading up to the Liberty Bell. He came up with two good questions for the ranger too.......How old is the bell? (274 years old) and How did it crack? (It was just used a lot)
Liberty Lizzie.
Rather than walk around on this very hot day we took the kids around in a horse drawn carriage. It was fun. Sitting pretty in a pretty carriage.
This is where the Declaration of Independence was written.
Elizabeth was getting frigidity so the driver let Elizabeth help drive! Oh boy!
Saying hello to our horse after our ride.

Patrick trying to be like Mike Schmidt. We were supposed to taste test Philly Cheesesteaks from Gino and Pat's for dinner but because it was 95 degrees and humid, and both places have out side seating, we headed to a restaurant at Phillie's stadium. It was cool how the baseball, football, and hockey arenas are all in the same complex. Must make for great sports.
