Old Home Days

We headed down to the village of Marcellus for the Old Home Days parade....a personal favorite. I always get a kick out of seeing all the tractors driving down the street. The kids were excited for the parade. Elizabeth bopped to all the bands, waved at lots of firemen, and screamed "Hi" to the parade participants. We watched right at the end of the parade route...close to where we were able to park. It really was a lot of fun.

Of course, the real fun was all the free candy. You would think there wouldn't be that much at the end of the parade route.....NO WAY. Patrick has become quite good at unwrapping things. Great!
Elizabeth's little pockets were full, thanks to the two teenagers who were sitting next to her and giving her all the candy that they caught. The price of having such a cutey-pa-tootie little girl!
After the parade we checked out the carnival and bought our ducks for the duck race on Sunday. Patrick loved the roller coaster, even doing "no hands". Sissy would have loved it too, but she was just shy of the height requirement.
There was no requirement for the carousel, so that had to do for this year.
Before we headed off, Daddy had to stop to get a strawberry shortcake. It was delicious, atleast the one bite he gave each of us :)
