Picking Pumpkins at Tim's Pumpkin Patch

After Dad got home from golf today we headed out to Tim's Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins. It was a beautiful day.......although a little windy, so the place was packed. The kids have been bugging us to go, so we had to suck it up. It was so much fun.......running through the hay maze, seeing the animals, eating donuts, playing in the corn, seeing all the spooky "people", and, oh yeah, picking out our pumpkins.First thing we had to do was the hay bale maze........as hot and smelly as it was, it was fun! Patrick, Elizabeth and Mom ventured through while Dad stalked wheel barrels.
Lovin' the hay bale maze.
After the hay maze we headed to the fields to find some pumpkins. Smarty pants Elizabeth hitched a ride!
Elizabeth didn't have the best luck finding pumpkins. The ones she seemed interested in were fatally flawed.....like being half eaten.
Patrick did a great job picking out pumpkins. He even found two with pretty perfect stems. He was also very good at gently placing them in the wheel barrel.
Patrick joined all the big guys in the barn, running around and jumping from hay bale to hay bale.
Elizabeth really loved playing in the corn pit.....despite getting stuck in the barn. Patrick eventually made his way into the corn too.
There were two halogram pictures that Patrick just loved. He stared at them forever!
We made sure we got to see all the animals. Patrick was very excited about the hens, the kittens, and the bunnies. Elizabeth wasn't really feelin' the animals.....girl after my own heart. We didn't have any quarters, so we couldn't feed them.....DARN!
We had a great day. I tried to get Patrick and Elizabeth to pose together, and smile, with the pumpkins. This is the best we got! Maybe next year!
