Tumbelina
Elizabeth and her good friend Leah go to tumbling class once a week. It is at the dance studio that Elizabeth will probably go to in the fall, for 1 hour. The girls have fun and I like sitting and chatting with Aunt Heather for the hour. The girls both like Thumbelina, so we have taken to calling Lizzie Tumbelina.
The first week the kids learned a bridge, forward, and backward somersault. Elizabeth is a cautious tumbler. She is still working on her forward roll. Jason jokes that we have to build her upper arm strength. Watching her is awesome. She listens well and you can see her thinking about all the steps that Jason explains. Sometimes we need to work on putting them all together and knocking down some of the think time. Here we go......first, squat.
Then we get ready to roll.
Sometimes we fall to the side.
And sometimes we need a push. And lots of times we make it!
Jason is a saint for being able to keep two three year olds and a four year old entertained for an hour. Sometimes they escape to see their mommy's in the waiting room. Elizabeth did, so I pushed her back in the room. Jason promptly called out to me that Miss Elizabeth wanted me to take a picture of her bridge. She knows just how to get my ultimate attention, huh?
Intense cartwheel lessons.
Elizabeth promised that she would be as stiff as a board.
The first time Jason helped her flip around not a hand or foot touched the mat. Some cartwheel!

Ice Cream Fun
After the Renaissance Fair we went to Grandpa's for a lobster bake. Aunt Peg was awesome an brought stuff to make ice cream sundaes for dessert. Yum!
Daddy commandeered to whipped cream can............and filled everyone's mouth. Liz just thought it was hysterical.
Grandpa was eying that sundae. Can't say I blame him :)
Like father, like son.
Renaissance Fair
Today we met at the Renaissance Fair with friends and their son, Patrick's buddy, Kyle. The kids had a fun time and got along great. We walked all around, rode lots of rides, played games, saw a joust and did lots of people watching. Oh, and avoided Pirates. It was Pirate day.
Trouble in the stockades.
There was an archery range with a kid's section so Brian helped Patrick and Elizabeth slay a dragon and a poor unicorn.

Patrick got pretty decent at using the bow and arrow. He managed to do it himself a couple of times.
There were lots of rides all over the Renaissance Fair. Quite a racket too.......at $3 a pop! The kids really liked the Dragon ride. They rode it twice. It was entertaining to watch the dirty hippie that was running the ride entertain himself with its back and forth motion. We were joking that it was a job requirement to work there employees had to be smokin' something funny.

The Merry-Go-Round was fun too. The kids all smooshed into one seat (too cute).
It was a long day for the kids. Liz was asleep pretty quickly once she got settled in the car. Of course, she had to hitch a ride on Dad's shoulders when walking became just too much!

A Fun Wednesday
Today we went to the zoo with Ciochi and the gang. We were excited to see the new monkey exhibit. It was really cool.
One day I will go through all our photos and post all the different tiger shots we have. I bet it would be a great post......to see us change atop the tiger.
Elizabeth enjoyed her second dance class tonight. There were no tears or whining. She really likes her teacher, Miss Rochelle. After dance we got ice cream as a treat..........'cause mom's a sucker.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame
We went to a SkyChiefs game this afternoon with Ciochi, Mark, Sarah Jane, Will, Aunt Heather, Uncle John, Leah, and Davis. It was beautiful out, there were great treats and the SkyChiefs won.......although we didn't stay until the end of the game.
What's up Leah!!
OMG - Look at how cute Srah Jane and Patrick look! And how grown up, sitting all by themselves chatting away. They stayed like that for quite awhile. It was actually the only time any kid sat still the whole time we were there. Power of the slushie I guess!

Happy Birthday Will!
We actually had two birthday parties today. Just as Leah and Davis's was wrapping up it was time to head to Will's third birthday. It was a great afternoon/night with tons for us to do, like....
.........jumping in the bouncey house (we loved it so much we were back Sunday morning),
........play with our favorite big friend, Joe, in the bouncey house
.......watch kids do tricks in the bouncey house.....good one Kyle,
........look for stuff in the pond like gators and such,
........hang out with friends and cousins watching Will open presents and eating Superman-Spiderman-Batman cake (do you see it on the table! Good work Ciochi!),
.......have Uncle Danny show us how to drink out of the hose (gross),
......have the hose turned on us by Uncle Danny, the kind drink giver,
.........play tricks on Joe and try to spray a squirt gun down his pants,
.......TRY to get Terry with the squirt gun,
.......ride around in style (and make the grown-up's cringe at the thought of years to come),
......watch Jack wade through the muck and gross in the pond,
and finally, some late night slip-n-slide. Elizabeth got to hang around with the older girls too. She, Sarah Jane and Natalie got to take a bath in the jacuzzi tub. Fun, Fun!
