Patrick had Mosaic this morning. We were very glad to hear that Patrick is ahead of where a typical 1st grader is in reading. His Mosaic teacher gave us a homework assignment of Patrick reading as much as he could in the 2nd book in the 1st grade reading series. He breezed through it, making few errors and self-correcting the ones he did. Pop Pop came for a visit later in the morning and watched the kids rides bikes/scooters, and had lunch with us. He had a special treat for the kids to take to Disney World - $25.00 each! Patrick was over the moon. While Pop Pop was here there was a pretty bad car accident next door. Luckily no one was hurt but a lot of damage was caused. Patrick later said to me that he was glad Pop Pop was here because if someone was hurt he would know what to do. Since Brian had gold league tonight I got to take Patrick to the 2nd night of football practice. Liz went to play at Sarah Jane's and Pat went to football. He did such a good job. They play Sharks and Minnows and he was a Shark for the 2nd night in a row.........he is excited to be a shark but coach makes him a shark to build his speed. After football Patrick had two big slices of pizza and a Powerade - a rare treat!
