Summer Vacation - Days #43-45

This weekend, the Louer's, more Louer's, and Gallauresi's headed to Wellesley Island on the St. Lawrence, for a big camping trip. Six adults, six kids, and we survived.
The mighty men!!

All ready for our first dinner. We handle the food great. Everything was DELiCIOUS.

Yummy Potato Salad!
Patrick had an itch, so he scratched it like a bear. We are in the woods after all!

Saturday we went to the beach - and discovered a really cool Rec Barn filled with all kinds of video and other games. The river was an adventure. We saw a pretty big Catfish and a cigarette boat race. Accompanying the race were helicopters and some jet planes doing some cool tricks.

Brian and I took the kids to check out the Nature Center. Unfortunately, it was closed. We found a great outdoor theater and some trails - one that even had a dock through the water.
The kids acted out Snow White for us. Will was the Prince who had to wake Snow White, meaning, he had to kiss Liz. No problem. They are kissing cousins!

If we come back, I definitely want to go for a ride in this canoe.

Everyone's dramatic moment!
A nice arabesque.
There were two workers who came to clean out our fire pit and noticed all the kids, especially Davis. They brought back a big pile of sand for the kids to play in. It was a huge God send. On Saturday, they returned to let Davis (who is obsessed with trucks) and the other kids, to raise and lower the bucket on the dump truck. It was pretty cool.

God Ma

Sitting around the camp fire - this was the best group shot of the kids we could get.
My kids were so wiped out. They didn't wake up even with the sun out, the birds chirping, or other kids talking. They slept in until almost 8! That's big for them. All in all, it was a great trip. We loved Wellesley Island and can't wait to go back.
