Summer Vacation - Day #56
IT'S HERE!! WE'RE HERE!! The Louer's finally arrive in Disney world. We left without any problems, thanks to Uncle Mark who drove us to the air port and also realized that I left my phone in the car and brought it into me before we got to the gate at the airport. The kids did a super job on the airplane, certainly aided by personal t.v. with shows that we aren't allowed to watch at home and Twizzlers. (Every mom should travel with a stash of Twizzlers and Dum Dum's). When we landed in Orlando the kids, and adults, were anxious to "see" Disney. We needed to wait in line and then wait on the Disney bus before that happened. About an hour and a half after we landed, and a ride through a nasty rain storm, we arrived at the hotel. We got checked in and found an open restaurant. There was a lounge next to the restaurant where a sing-a-long with a very talented, and funny, man was going on. The only downside was that it was pretty loud for this tired and traveled out family.
Dinner perked us right up. The kids were excited because it came on a white Mickey plate with black bowls of fruit and veggies for the ears. Mom and Dad were excited because dinner was really tasty. So much so that Brian asked for copies of the recipes for our meals.
After dinner we all crashed. All but Dad. He dutifully waited up for our bags to arrive, in the early hours of the a.m. We can't WAIT for tomorrows adventures!!
