Summer Vacation - Day #59 EPCOT

We were up bright and early to head to EPCOT today. I think this was the first day where Mom and Dad started to feel the wear that Disney was having on us. But, like true Griswald's we put it aside and headed off. We all just loved our time at EPCOT.
Brian was off running when we first got in the gate.........heading toward Soarin' to get Fast Passes. Liz and I saw Daisy, so we had to do pictures. Liz didn't ask to meet many characters but really wanted to give Daisy a hug. The pictures came out fuzzy because I didn't take the lens cap off when we first go outside from the air conditioning.
I should try to Photo Shop this - I bet I could fix it because it is such an adorable picture.
After the park officially opened and Dad got the Fast Passes we all rode Nemo's Under Sea Adventure, went to the aquarium and saw the fish feed, and saw Turtle Talk - one of my FAVORITE's Dude!! I thought it was just amazing!! Then Bruce ate my family! The kids really liked Nemo's ride. They loved the way the cartoons were in with the real fish.
Our next stop was Soarin'.............another family, all-time Disney favorite. It is amazing, especially if you wait for the first row. Everyone thought it was awesome. We did the other rides around SOARIN', like the one where you go behind the scenes where they grow all the veggies (I don't remember the name). I just loved the balloons that were in this building, hence the picture.
While we were waiting in line for Space Ship Earth - another family favorite - we saw a message written in the sky. What a treat!
When you are done on Space Ship Earth there is all this science stuff to explore. Liz loved the 'puter because she loves all 'puters!
As we were walking to see Ellen's Energy Show, because it has dinosaurs in it, we saw the rest of the Louer clan through a window having lunch. We all visited for a while and the kids got their first ride on Uncle Rich's scooter...................perhaps better than SOARIN'? We could have saved a whole lot of cash! Don't you love how Patrick is running after Rich with the sprayer?
A true Disney thrill ride!
Patrick was working hard - he's got the back sweat goin'!
I tried to get Patrick to do another Space ride but he wasn't into it. He had a little meltdown actually. This was the first day we didn't go back to the hotel for a break..............we still needed one. We headed back to SOARIN' to rest in the A/C, have a snack!, and go on the ride again.
On our way to have a beer in England and meet everyone for dinner we stopped at a favorite I remember from being a kid........the jumping water. Both kids loved stopping to just play for a bit.
I love how Liz is ducking like the water is going to drench her!
Getting ready to catch it!
Almost!
We all met at a great restaurant in Italy (I can't remember the name) to have dinner and celebrate Peggy's birthday. We had a blast at dinner...........especially those of us who had the Sangria :) There was lots of laughing and Louer love. Brian took some great pictures during dinner.
Getting ready to blow out the candles on Aunt Peggy's birthday dessert.

Awwww.
Uncles and cousins.
Our rowdy table at dinner.
Cousin love :)
Do you think Uncle Bill could have all that with dinner??

The girls getting the attention of some escapies. We really did take the restaurant right over.
Uncle Dan and the birthday girl!!

Elizabeth just LOVES Uncle Danny. I think I said the same thing in another post but she really adores him.
And I think he pretty much adores her. After dessert and good-byes we headed back to the hotel. We weren't able to make the fireworks like everyone else...................leaving all the night-time things we missed as a reason to go back real soon.
